Hiya, I'm Liz and welcome!

This is the place to come to see all my gorgeous dogs and I will be showcasing my grooming and all the walking adventures we have.

​

Firstly, A little about me and my journey towards starting up Groomin Good Walks! Growing up with dogs I have always admired the loyalty and affection they give towards those humans who treat them with love and respect. When I was really small, my family had Rocky the Labrador followed by Harry the Golden Retriever. In later years came Trixie, a Jack Russell x Chihuahua, and then Buddy the Cockapoo. Now an adult I have my very own doggy, Prince the Shih-tzu!

In 2014 I qualified with City & Guilds in Dog Grooming and I have since furthered my training by attending seminars and trade shows. When I started grooming I worked for a big pet corporation for 3 years then worked in three small salons in Hemel Hempstead, Tring and Leighton Buzzard. I always found myself daydreaming of the day I would be able to work for myself and open up my own salon!

After years of working long hours and most weekends I decided I wanted to be my own boss have more flexible hours and a better work life balance. Thats when I started doing dog walking just as we came out of lockdown in 2020.

 

I love getting outside with the dogs and driving them around in my van to all the lovely green spaces that Milton Keynes has to offer. All the dogs I have gained as clients are wonderful, as are their lovely owners! I've gotten to know all their favourite places to go, which dogs they enjoy socialising with and how to give them the best walk they can have! I'm really excited for the future and growing my Groomin Good Walks family!
